Embark on a Quest for Inspiration and Learning

Hi, I'm Peg

My goals are to inspire and be inspired by sharing
with you what I have learned, and to continually learn from others.

A little about me:

A yellow flower with green leaves on it.

I believe in God, Family, and Country.

I married my high school sweetheart in 1978.

I am a lifelong learner, a mentor and a teacher.

I continually ask “What am I doing for others?”

I believe, given the right tools, our bodies have the power to heal themselves.

I believe hope is not a plan, and failure is not an option.

My mantra is Namaste Sukhino Bhava (pronounced sue keeno bava). Namaste is a greeting from heart-to-heart. Sukhino Bhava wishes you happiness and health.

My journey in gardening started in 2017.

I would rather read than watch a movie.

I learn best through experience.

I believe you can retire from a nursing career, but never from being a nurse.

My dog is my shadow.

The ittybittyhomestead is a dream come true. Here, at the bittyhomestead, I am fulfilling my passion for gardening and creating a space that reflects my values and dreams.

Forever grateful:

To my husband, my first and only love, who is there for me even when "my projects become his problem."

To my two sons, their wives and our 5 grandchildren, you are my inspiration.

To Dad for loving Mom so much she was able to stay at home until the end. Dad you set the bar high.

To Mom for teaching me how to be a good wife, mother, and grandmother. For teaching me to cook and for always being there.

To my sister for caring for Dad during his golden years. You are an angel and an inspiration. You make me want to be a better person than I am.

To Laurie, Carol, and Jenny for our "coven". Our bond allowed us to provide excellent patient care support to the next nurses and travel to places we would not go to if we were alone.
